Free 10,000 Hours EP!

I sing in the band 10,000 Hours with the talented and tantalizing Lisa Kubista. Last month we slugged it out in the studio to create a wicked first EP and we are thrilled to have our tunes available for free online. Go to this link: www.10000hoursmusic.com/download.html.

Listen, dance and enjoy!

Puppets with Ronnie Burkett!?!

I’ve just finished my second stint working for famed Canadian Marionette artist RONNIE BURKETT. On his last show, “Billy Twinkle” I worked in Ronnie’s studio doing papier mache, wood sanding, finishing, staining. This time around, for his newest production “PENNY PLAIN,” I was a puppet sander extraordinaire and sanded down limbs and shoes until they were as smooth as skin- real skin- like the skin of a person who really takes care of their skin. Here’s the only photo I have of me with a limb. I’m at my parent’s home up north. That’s a leg in my hand. Yes, a leg.

Well hellooo, I’m Snow White

This spring I was hired by Fantasy Fables to play SNOW WHITE at events and parties.

It’s a plum new job that I am thoroughly enjoying. I get to sing songs, tell my story, play games. I create a magical experience and memories (many photographic) for family and friends alike. Drips of sweat do trickle down from my wig and I do often come across that one bossy girl at the party who you know is going to be unpleasant when she grows up and can tell that her parents must be unhappy in their lives to raise a child such as this. Still, I get to have fun in this classic, cute and creepy character!

I Think You’re Gonna Feel My Love- Matt Barber video released!

Exclaim.ca has released my most recent directorial venture- a music video for Matthew Barber’s “I Think You’re Gonna Feel My Love.” Inspired by the 1968 film, “The Swimmer”, we shot Matt swimming through the pools of suburbia. The final scene was shot in Matt’s home town of Port Credit. Joel Tellier was the AD and overall technical wizard. Magical makeup was done by Robin Young. Alynne Lavigne (alynnelavigne.com) leant us fabulous vintage jewelry. Featured actors are Sarah Power, Marika Schwandt, Naomi Yasui and Eleanor Hewlings. Too see the video via exclaim, go to this link:
